BAE Systems Land Systems
BAE Systems Land Systems is a division of BAE Systems specialising in ground warfare systems, e.g. Main Battle Tanks, Armoured Personnel Carriers, bridging systems, ammunition and artillery.
BAE Land Systems was created by BAE in September 2004 by bringing together RO Defence and newly acquired subsidiary Alvis Vickers.
In March 2005 BAE Systems North America announced the acquisition of United Defense Industries Inc, a major land systems company. It remains to be seen if this will be merged with BAE's Land Systems or remain under control of BAE North America.
