Bakewell Pudding

The Bakewell Pudding -- often called Bakewell Tart --- is a traditional dessert or cake, made with almonds, associated with the town of Bakewell, Derbyshire, England.

There are two Pudding Shops in Bakewell, with other shops selling the confection. The recipe remains a secret, though the whole thing was created by accident when a noblemen visiting the White Horse Inn at Bakewell, ordered strawberry tart. There has been some dispute over ownership of the recipe - however both shops sell a delicious confection which is exclusive to the beautiful Peak District town of Bakewell.
