Balius and Xanthos
Xanthos was the horse of Achilles in the Trojan War. He was a gift to Achilles from Athena who admired Achilles skill in battle. Xanthos was a great spectacle of wonder during the Trojan War because it was clear to all men who saw him that he was of a superior breed. Balius, the man who raised and trained Xanthos quickly became a rich man after his name was disclosed in association Xanthos. Balius then became the main supplier of all fine steeds used in the remaining time of the war.
