Bank deposit
Bank deposits accounts are the large part of the "money supply". They come in different types depending on withdrawal restrictions. In the United States, all of these deposits that are smaller than $100,000 are insured by the FDIC:
- Savings deposit
- Money market deposit account (MMDA)
- Time deposit
- Transaction deposit
- Checkable (checking) deposit
- Demand deposit
- Automatic transfer service (ATS) deposit
- Negotiable order of withdrawal (NOW) deposit
- Checkable (checking) deposit
