Barranco
Barranco is a district in Lima, Peru.
It is considered to be the city's most important romantic and bohemian district. It used to be a fashionable beach resort for the old Liman aristocracy. Many people used to spend the summer here and in neighboring Chorrillos
Barranco has republican era style houses and flower-filled parks and streets, and appealing beachfront areas. This district includes numerous restaurants. Many nightclubs are also located in Barranco, including discos and the well-known peņas, where one can appreciate Peruvian music shows.
It has a dry climate which is unique, compared to the other districts that have a more humid climate.
