Basara Kubikiri

Kubikiri (Neck Cutter) Basara is a character from SNK Playmore's Samurai Shodown series of fighting games.

According to his official biography, Basara was born in Tamba, Japan in Meiwa 2nd Year (January 18, 1765) and died April 1, 1788. He stands 5 shaku 9 sun (179 cm) and weighs 13 kan me (49 kg). His blood type was A. His weapon is a bladed disc called "Togabito Koroshi." His distinguishing feature is a shrill laugh.

Basara lived in peace with his wife Kagaribi in the village of Tamba, until the monstrous demonic swordsman Minazuki Zankuro came through and slaughtered everyone. Basara's last thoughts were of Kagaribi and wanting revenge on Zankuro. As a result, Basara was able to return to the mortal realm as a sort of ghost in order to exact his revenge.

Believe it or not, Masahiro Nonaka, who did the voice of Kyo Kusanagi, voiced Basara Kubikiri.
