Batch
A Batch is a group of similar items produced, processed or gathered together and treated as a single unit.
Batch is an adjective used to describe
- Batch production - a method used to produce or process any product in groups that can be called batches, as opposed to a continuous production process. For example baked goods such as cakes are typically produced in batches, while oil refineries often use continuous processes.
- Batch processing of tasks by a computer, in which processing-intensive activities are grouped and processed as units, rather than being processed immediately on demand.
