Batman (video game)

Batman is a video game for the Sega Genesis and Nintendo Entertainment System by Sunsoft, based on the Batman movie series.

A platformer action game, Batman roughly follows the story of the 1989 film. The player guides Batman through five levels, progressing through the streets of Gotham, the Axis chemical plant, and finally climbing the cathedral for the final battle with the Joker.

Batman can punch enemies at close range, and fire a limited number of darts, batarangs, and shuriken. The game has a rather more fantastic tone than the relatively realistic film it is based on, and features robots, jet-pack-equipped fighters, and mutant CHUDS .
