Battle of Heligoland
The Battle of Heligoland (or Helgoland) was a battle of the First Schleswig War fought on 9 May 1864 between the navy of Denmark and the allied navies of Austria and Prussia. The Danes forced the Austrians and Prussians to withdraw to neutral waters around the then-British island of Heligoland. It was the last naval battle fought by lines of wooden ships.

- Preussischer Adler, 4-gun paddle steamer
- Blitz, 3-gun 350-ton gunboat
- Basilisk, 3-gun 350-ton gunboat
Denmark:
- Jylland, 44-gun screw frigate
- Niels Iuel 42-gun screw frigate
- Heimdal 16-gun screw corvette
