The Battle of Kamino is a fictional battle in the Star Wars saga, taking place two months after the Battle of Geonosis. This battle is also known as the Defence of Kamino.

After learning of the Confederacy's plans to strike at the cloning facilities on Kamino, the Jedi send a defence fleet to protect the planet. Though the Jedi pilots battle bravely above, they cannot stop droid forces landing in Tipoca City. The arrival of newly-activated ARC troopers serves to turn the tide, and Mon Calamari Commander Merai is forced to launch a desperate strike at the supposed location of the city's shield generator.

However, the Jedi prove too wily for the Mon Calamari tactician; the data gathered by the Corporate Alliance is false, and Merai's efforts are in vain. In a last-ditch attack, Merai flies into the Jedi hyperspace rings , destroying his own ship in the process, and giving his battleships time to retreat.

Though apparently a victory for the Republic, the battle was actually engineered by Darth Sidious and his apprentice, Darth Tyranus, to root out and destroy the traitors in the Confederacy.
