Battle of Karnal
The Battle of Karnal was the February 29, 1739 war between Nadir Shah and the Mughal emperor of India, Muhammad Shah.
The battle took place at Karnal, 110 km (70 miles) north of Delhi, India. Muhammad and his army were defeated soundly. Nadir's army consisted of about 55,000 troops, and Muhammad's army numbered approximately 15,000.
