Battle of Tapae
The Battle of Tapae (101) was the decisive battle of the first Dacian War where Roman Emperor Trajan effectively defeated Dacian King Decebalus' army, however other setbacks in the campaign resulted in the war not ending until 103.
There are images of the battle on Trajan's Column however little is actually known about the battle from official records, and it is scarcely mentioned in Dio Cassius' History of the Dacian Wars.
