Beverley Allitt
Beverley Allitt, dubbed the "Angel of Death", was a nurse who killed four children and injured nine others on the ward she worked at Grantham Hospital, Lincolnshire.
Allitt was given 13 life sentences in 1993 and is unlikely ever to be released alive. She is presently at the top-security Rampton prison hospital in Nottinghamshire.
She suffers from Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, a personality disorder which prompts sufferers to falsify their own or others' illnesses in order to attract attention.
