Bhumidevi
In Hinduism, Bhumidevi, who may also be called Bhumi, is the goddess of the earth.
She had a son, Naraka, by the asura Hiranyaksa . She is sometimes considered to be the mother of all the asuras.
She is sometimes regarded as the wife of Vishnu, who rescued her from Hiranyaksa. She had as son, Mangala by Vishnu.
She is considered to be the mother of Sita, (note the symbolism of the baby Sita being found in a ploughed field). When Sita is finally abandoned by her husband, she returns to Bhumi.
