Billing Mediation Platform
Billing Mediation Platform is a system used to convert datatypes to one another, usually for billing purposes. It is used mostly in telcos (telephone companies), who typically need to process CDRs (Call Detail Records) and broadband carriers (who may want to process IPDRs).
A few manufacturers include Comptel, Openet Telecom , Verizon IT , AMDOCS , Intec Telecom Systems , and ACECOM .
