Billy Dee Williams
Billy Dee Williams (b. April 6, 1937) is an American actor His first big break Was in the Famous made for TV movie "Brians Song " in which he played Gale Sayers. His next hit came in 1973 When he played Louis McKay in "Lady sings the blues ". Undoubtbly though his most famous role was in that of Lando Calrissian in the epic sci fi series Star Wars ; the character made appearances in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Williams has appeared in numerous other films, most recently in Constellation in 2003. Though his last major film was in 1989's Batman Playing district attorney Harvey Dent. Williams orginally took the role knowing that it would probably land him in a sequel playing Two Face. When the third installment of Batman came about which featured Two Face. The studio offered Williams a large amount of money to not take the role, because the studio was looking for a more "high-profile" actor. Williams is also notorious for his appearance in advertisements for Colt 45, a low-cost brand of malt liquor. In January 1996, Williams was arrested for physically abusing his girlfriend during an argument. He originally auditioned for the role of Han Solo back in 1976, during the casting of the first Star Wars. Mr. Williams is also an avid Artist.
