Billy Sullivan
William Joseph Sullivan, Sr. (February 1, 1875 in Oakland, Wisconsin - January 28, 1965 in Newberg, Oregon) was a catcher in Major League Baseball for the Boston Beaneaters (1899-1900), Chicago White Sox (1901-1914), and Detroit Tigers (1915).
Sullivan was a terrible batter, but an excellent defensive catcher. He was also the first catcher to play in 1,000 games.
His son Billy Sullivan Jr. also became a catcher.
