Birdman and the Galaxy Trio

Birdman and the Galaxy Trio was a science fiction animated series created by Alex Toth for Hanna-Barbera which had its debut on NBC in 1967.

Birdman was granted his powers by the sun god Ra. With his eagle, Avenger, he worked with a government agency (run by a man code-named Falcon 7) to fight evil-doers. Birdman was voiced by Keith Andes . Falcon 7 was voiced by Don Messick. Birdman also appeared in Hanna-Barbera Super TV Heroes issues #1 through #7 (April 1968 through Oct. 1969). The characters were later reused, in somewhat different roles, for the Adult Swim series Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law.

The Galaxy Trio consisted of Vapor Man, Meteor Man, and Gravity Girl. Aboard their space cruiser Condor 1, they maintained law and order as part of the Galactic Patrol. Vapor Man was voiced by Don Messick, Meteor Man was voiced by Ted Cassidy, and Gravity Girl was voiced by Virginia Eiler. The Trio also appeared in Hanna-Barbera Super TV Heroes issue #2 (Sept. 1968).
