Bishop of Hallam
The Bishop of Hallam is the Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hallam in the Province of Liverpool .
The diocese covers an area of 2,672 km² of County of South Yorkshire, parts of the High Peak and Chesterfield Districts of Derbyshire, and the district of Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire. The see is in the City of Sheffield where the seat is located at the Cathedral Church of Saint Marie.
The diocese was erected on 30 May 1980 from the merging of portions of the Dioceses of Leeds and Nottingham . The current bishop is the Right Reverend John Rawsthorne , the 2nd Bishop of Hallam, who was installed on 3 July 1997.
