Blantyre, Malawi
Blantyre is the largest city in Malawi and the capital of the country's Southern Region. Blantyre had a population of 646,235 in 2003. The city has at least one television station (see List of TV stations). Blantyre is named after the Scottish town Blantyre where the explorer David Livingstone was born. The presidential palace - the Sanjika Palace - is also located there, as well as the Supreme Court.
