Blind River (Ontario)
The Blind River is a river in the Algoma District of central Ontario which empties into the North Channel of Lake Huron at the town of Blind River.
The river flows south from a group of lakes north of the town. A sawmill was built near the mouth of this river in 1837. There is a small hydroelectric plant where this river drains Lake Duborne .
This river was called a "blind river" because the river's mouth is not easily seen from the lake.
The Potomac River is a tributary of this river.
