Blood: The Last Vampire

Blood: The Last Vampire is a one-DVD anime released in 2000, produced by Production I.G., and distributed in North America by Manga Entertainment. The graphics are considered beautiful and the animation is smooth and fast-paced.

The story is set in Yokota Airbase in Japan, during the Vietnam War. It tells about Saya, a girl who hunts vampiric demons using a katana. The world is supposedly being infested by vampires, and she helps rid the world of them. She works for the government and generally keeps to herself.

In 2005, Production IG announced the creation of a TV series based on the original movie.
