Blue pike
The blue pike (Stizostedion vitreum) was a fish related to the walleye that went extinct in the 1970s. Blue Pike was once an important commercial fish, harvested extensively from the late 1800s up until the 1960s. Blue pike were endemic to the Great Lakes region of the US and Canada.
