Bob de Groot
Bob de Groot was born on 26 October 1941 in Brussels, to Dutch and French parents.
He started out as cartoonist of comic books himself, and later combined that with writing scenarios. After having produced over 300 pages for magazines by himself, he teamed up with Turk, and gradually specialized with much success on the scenarios. This duo made three comic books series a great success:
- Colonel Clifton
- Robin Dubois
- Leonard
Up to today, De Groot remains a prolific writer for many cartoonists, including Rodrigue, with whom he published several more Cliftons in 2003 and later, and with Morris producing Lucky Luke.
