Bogey
A bogey can be:
- A hobgoblin commonly associated with the boogeyman; see also boggart.
- A term used by fighter pilots to refer to an unidentified aircraft (especially enemy aircraft).
- British slang for a piece of dried mucus; see the American equivalent, booger. The term was made famous in the United States by Harry Potter purists who objected to its replacement with "booger" in the American version.
- A golf term for "one over par". This most likely evolved from the legend of the Colonel Bogey (who inspired F. J. Rickett 's Colonel Bogey March).
- The nickname of Humphrey Bogart.
