Borrowdale Volcanics
The Borrowdale Volcanics are a very specific type of rock found in the Borrowdale area of the Lake District, in England. They were probably deposited by glaciers in the last ice-age and are highly impermeable, the land in this area is therefore highly susceptible to flooding, due to fast overland flow into the rivers.
