Boyz Nite Out(Top l-r): Bill Craig, Eugene Rocha, Mark Baldi, Jon Moore, (Bottom l-r) Bud Anderson, Tony Ridenour |
Boyz Nite Out is a contemporary a cappella Sextet based in Sacramento. Originally formed in October of 1993, Boyz Nite Out quickly established themeselves as a high energy vocal band .
One of the unique features of this group is they write and sing their own songs as well as perform updated standards of the 50's Doo-Wop era. Eugene Rocha acts as the groups drummer using vocal percussion to drive the show.
While "BNO" is known for their high energy shows, their first recording "Rho Sham Bo" set a new A Cappella standard for how CDs were recorded. BNO was one of the first groups to incorporate more intricate effects and use hard disk recording, somthing that is standard today.
Boyz Nite Out has won many awards, including Sacramento Magazines "Best Vocal Group" the 1995 Bay Area Harmony Sweepstakes winners and have opened for the likes of Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, and Michael McDonald.
