Brad Park was an NHL ice hockey player. He was born in Toronto, Ontario on July 6, 1948 he started his career with the New York Rangers in 1968. He quickly became known as the best defenceman for the Rangers and drew comparisons with the great Bobby Orr. His offensive skill and stickhandling attracted much attention from fans. Park made the first all-star team three times with the Rangers and the second team twice.

Park was made the assistant captain of the Rangers and briefly served as their captain. In 1972 Park led his team to the finals but lost to Bobby Orr and the Boston Bruins that same year he came second in the Norris Trophy and was named MVP in the 1972 Summit Series. In 1975 one of the biggest trades in NHL history was made. Park, fellow future hall of famer Jean Ratelle, and Joe Zanussi where traded to Boston for all-star Phil Esposito and defenceman Carol Vandnais .

In Boston Park served under coach Don Cherry and continued his success. He came second in the Norris Trophy race twice. In 1977 and 1978 Park went with Boston to the Stanley Cup finals but lost to Montreal both the times. In 1984 Park moved to the Detroit Red Wings and won the Bill Masterton Trophy that same year. In the year of 1985 he announced his retirement. The next year he briefly served as Detroit's coach. In 1988 he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
