Bragança is both a city and a district in north-east Portugal.
The city is made of two parishes (Sé and Santa Maria) with the population of 20,000, the municipality has 34,412 and 49 parishes. Its area is 1,173 km². Its postal code is 5301.
In the district, Mirandela and Macedo de Cavaleiros are also important centers. The neighboring municipalities are Vimoso in the southeast, Vinhais in the southwest and Macedo do Cavaleiros in the west.
