Breakfast (television programme)
Breakfast started in 2000 as a co-broadcast on BBC One and BBC News 24, both channels had broadcast two different breakfast progremmes beforehand. [1]
The programme follows the international programme The World Today which is also broadcast on BBC World around the globe.
Before Breakfast the programme on BBC One was BBC Breakfast News, and on News 24 the morning programme was presented by Moira Stuart and Sarah Montague. Breakfast News was presented by Sophie Rayworth and Jeremy Bowen, the programme combined these presenters and also brought in a new face Darren Jordan.
The programme has seen a few changes since its launch, including the BBC's presenter shake ups, for more info log on to [www.bbc.co.uk/breakfast].
Sarah Montague now presents BBC Radio 4's Today Programme. Darren Jordan presents the BBC's News at One O'Clock. Moira Stuart is still the backbone of Breakfast. Jeremy Bowen has since retired from the BBC. Sophie Raywoth co-presents the BBC's News at Six O'Clock.
