Brighton and Hove is a city on the south coast of England. It was formed in April 1, 1997 as a unitary authority by the merger of the East Sussex boroughs of Brighton and Hove, and was granted city status in 2000.
On October 15, 2004, Brighton and Hove was granted Fairtrade City status.
