Brisbane Broncos

The Brisbane Broncos is a rugby league team based in Brisbane, Queensland. A poll taken in Australia in 2002 showed the Brisbane Broncos to be the most supported football club of any code in the country. It had more than 1.1 million supporters.

History

The Brisbane Broncos was the first privately owned team in what is now the National Rugby League competition, and was formed in 1988. In their first ever premiership game, the team defeated the 1987 premiers Manly 44-10. The team has been coached by Wayne Bennett since its entry into the competition.
