British Airtours
British Airtours was a charter subsidiary of British Airways.
Following the purchase of British Caledonian by BA in 1987 the airline merged its British Airtours subsidiary with BCal's own charter airline, British Caledonian Charter to form Caledonian Airways.
British Airways sold Caledonian Airways to the Carlson Leisure Group during the 1990s. In 1999 Carlson merged with Thomas Cook, Caledonian Airways was then merged with Thomas Cook's Flying Colours Airlines to form JMC Airlines. Carlson sold Thomas Cook (including JMC) to C&N Touristic of Germany in 2000. C&N Touristic renamed itself Thomas Cook AG, in 2002 JMC itself was renamed Thomas Cook Airlines.
