Brome—Missisquoi
Brome—Missisquoi is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada. It was created as part of the British North America Act in 1867 as Missisquoi. Since then it has alternated between the names Missisquoi and Brome—Missisquoi:
- 1867-1924: Missisquoi
- 1924-1966: Brome—Missisquoi
- 1966-1970: Missisquoi
- 1970-1976: Brome—Missisquoi
- 1976-1983: Missisquoi
- 1983-present: Brome—Missisquoi
Georgraphy
The district includes the Regional County Municipality of Brome-Missisquoi Regional County Municipality, Quebec, the municipalities of Saint-Sébastien , Henryville , Noyan , Saint-Georges-de-Clarenceville , Venise-en-Québec , Bromont , and the Regional County Municipality of Memphrémagog except Stanstead, Ayer's Cliff , North Hatley , Ogden , Sainte-Catherine-de-Hatley , Hatley and Stanstead Canton . The population (2001) is 88,128 and the area is 3,045 sq. km.

Politics
