Budgie is Budgie's first album. It was released in June 1971 through Kapp Records. The album was re-released in 1991 by Roadrunner Records, with the bonus track "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" (originally from Budgie's fourth release, In For the Kill ), which had been covered by Metallica on their 1987 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited. Strangely enough, the Mexican release made in the early 70's through the short lived 'Super Rock' series also contained "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" in the exact same position in the sequence of tracks of the 1991 CD release.

Track listing

  1. "Guts" - 4:21
  2. "Everything In My Heart" - :52
  3. "The Author" - 6:28
  4. "Nude Disintegrating Parachutist Woman" - 8:41
