Bumblebee (comics)
Bumblebee is a fictional character, a DC Comics superhero who is a member of the superhero team, Teen Titans.
Bumbleebee (Real name: Karen Beecher) made herself a bumblebee supersuit and attacked the Titans to secretly help her boyfriend - Mal [Herald] Duncan - look good in front of the team. The Titans were impressed enough to offer her membership and she accepted. When the team broke up for a time, Karen and Mal got married and 'retired' from superheroics. They have returned to crime-fighting from time to time to assist the team. Bumblebee's abilities are derived from her scientific super-suit

Bumblebee appears in the animated series as assertive, highly skilled and cocky former HIVE student who was really an undercover agent enrolled to infiltrate the facility and learn of their motives and secrets. She had been keeping track of HIVE long before Cyborg posed as Stone. Bumblebee was able to withstand Brother Blood's mind control powers for the first time. Her abilties as a HIVE student entrusted her to Brother Blood. Blood was shocked to find that she also double-crossed him when she helped Cyborg stop his plans to wipe the city. Blood escaped to Steel City where he was followed by Bumblebee and Aqualad. While in Steel City,they formed Titans East with Speedy and Mas y Menos. Cyborg soon followed and helped the team build their tower but Blood entered with his new Cyborg copies and beat the Titans East. Blood then mind-controlled Titans East and they attacked Cyborg. Bumbleebee was the only one to break out of it but it was only for seconds. Cyborg then battled Blood and won,freeing Titans East. Cyborg decided to return to Titans West and appointed Bumbleebee as the new leader of Titans East.
