CMX
This CMX is the Finnish band. CMX also refers to a manga brand by DC Comics. See: CMX (comics) for the comic brand.
CMX is a Finnish rock band. They are known for lead singer and bass player A.W. Yrjänä 's poetic lyrics of religious imagery and their progressive musical style that combines influences from e.g. Pixies, Helmet and Dead Kennedys. Their own influence on Finnish music of the late nineties and early 21st century is very notable, and the band has gradually gained large-scale mainstream success.
CMX is barely known outside of Finland (due to Finnish lyrics and lack of marketing push), but as an anecdote, Billy Gould of Faith No More named their Rautakantele as his favourite album of 1995. Gould also produced their 1998 album Vainajala .
