California State University at Northridge Botanic Garden
The California State University at Northridge Botanic Garden (1.5 acres) is a botanical garden located on the campus of California State University, Northridge in Northridge, California and open to the public during normal business hours.
In 1959, it was first planted with California native plants, but has evolved to a collection of some 1,200 plant species representing many regions and climates, with areas devoted to cacti and succulents, tropical plants, native grasses, New Zealand plants, palms, herbs, and redwood trees. Its four greenhouses display orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. The garden also features a small pond with waterfall and island.
