Cambot

Cambot was one of the robot characters on the Mystery Science Theater 3000 television series. Cambot's very minor speaking role was voiced by Kevin Wagner Murphy. It was through Cambot's eye that viewers watched Joel Robinson (later Mike Nelson) and the other robots watch the movie that was sent to the Satellite of Love each week.

Cambot was only seen during the "Robot Roll Call" portion of the opening credits, during which he would only say "You're on!" or "Hi, girls!". From time to time, the characters on the show would interact with Cambot in a Brechtian fashion. Cambot's appearance changed over the years. Originally shaped like a medium sized video camera, he was given a more compact form during the fifth season of the series.
