Cambridge International Examinations
The Cambridge International Examinations are a set of examinations run by an examination board that offers A-level, O-level, IGCSE and International Diploma qualifications. The board is part of the University of Cambridge's Local Examinations Syndicate. Examinations are not open to private candidates in the UK or the USA, though your school can enter you if it is a registered CIE centre.
CIE offers a number of syllabuses for IGCSE and O-level examinations that have been phased out in the United Kingdom. Examinations are available in a number of First Languages, Additional Mathematics, Additional Combined Science and many other subjects. A-level subjects are more constricted and there are fewer First Language syllabuses. CIE qualifications are considered by most UK universities including Cambridge.
