Cameron Bright

Cameron Douglas Bright (sometimes credited as Cameron Crigger in earlier work) is a Canadian child actor who was born in Victoria, British Columbia on January 26, 1993. Personal life

In 1995, when Cameron was just 2 years old, his parents divorced. Three years later, Anne decided to move to Nanaimo. People would stop Bright on the street, telling him he looked like Anakin Skywalker. The family became friends with a woman who ran a casting and modelling agency. She took some pictures and within a week, he got his first job.

In his spare time, Cameron enjoys playing computer games - especially "Counter Strike" and sports like soccer and football.

Career

Early Career

His first job was a commercial for Telus, which was soon followed by a guest appearance in "Higher Ground ". This was the time he started auditioning for feature films. At first he didn't succeed, but according to his mother he was always in the top 3.

He finally got his break in the fall of 2002 when he got cast for "Godsend" which gave Bright a chance to act opposite Robert DeNiro.

Filmography

Birth

However, it was "Birth" that drew media attention to Bright. In the film he plays a 10-year old boy who claims to be the reincarnation of Anna's (Nicole Kidman) deceased husband Sean. Two scenes within the movie sparked controversy. In one Bright shares a bathtub with Kidman, in another they kiss. What most people did not know, is that they wore flesh colored swimsuits in the bath scenes and were never really naked. Also, laws concerning child actors in the United States, where the film was shot, make it illegal for children to be exploited.

Future

Cameron is also set to appear in "Ultraviolet " which is slated to release in 2005.
