Cape Peninsula
The Cape Peninsula, also known as the Peninsula of the Cape of Good Hope, is a 75 km peninsula jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean. The peninsula was once an island and about sixty million years ago it was joined to the mainland by the area now known as the Cape Flats. On the nothern end is the famous Table Mountain over looking Cape Town, South Africa. The towns and villages on the Cape Peninsula now forms part of the City of Cape Town.
There is a dispute as to where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula or at Agulhas .
