Capitol
Capitol can refer to, among other things:
- A building that houses the administration or legislature of a government. The word derives from the Capitoline Hill (Capitolinus Mons) in Rome, seat of the government of the Roman Republic.
- United States Capitol, home of the legislative branch of the federal government of the United States
- Capitol, a soap opera which ran on CBS from 1982 to 1987.
- Capitol , a Roman-themed German-style board game
- Capitol Records, a US record label, part of EMI.
Capitol may sometimes intend the homonym "capital," the city or town which houses the government and thus the capitol building.
