Captain Carrot

Captain Carrot is a comic book superhero who appeared in a series published by DC Comics.

An anthropomorphized rabbit in a world of talking animals where humans are unknown, his real name is Roger Rodney Rabbit (entirely unrealted to the movie character of a similar name), or Rodney Rabbit as he was called later in the series.

Rodney worked as a cartoonist and writer for his world's version of DC Comics, mainly on the comic "Justa Lotta Animals" (an animal version of the Justice League of America).

In his series entitled Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew, Rodney gains superpowers for 24 hours when he eats a carrot that grows in his windowbox---said carrots having been exposed to the rays of an extraterrestrial meteor. Among Rodney's superpowers include superstrength, resistance to injury, and a super-powerful leap.

Captain Carrot is the leader of the Zoo Crew, a group of other animal superheroes from his world.

"Captain Carrot" can also refer to Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, a character in Terry Pratchett's Diskworld novels.
