Captain Commando
Captain Commando is a video game character, and the former mascot of the video game developer Capcom, his name being derived from that of his company (Captain Commando). He is a blonde superhero wearing a visor and a white-and-blue costume with a large star on his chest, and appeared in instruction manuals for Capcom games during their earliest days of game production in the mid-1980s, thanking the player for purchasing the game. He was eventually given a scrolling fighting game of his own in 1991, described below; however, the game did not catch on with avid arcade players, and Captain Commando was replaced as Capcom's mascot after characters from more popular games, such as the Mega Man and Street Fighter II series, came into vogue.
The character was resurrected in 1998 as a playable fighter in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of fighting games, aided by his three partners in the Commando Team.

Captain Commando is an arcade game produced by Capcom in 1991, featuring the character of the same name. It is a scrolling fighting game.
The player chooses from the four members of the "Commando Team": Captain Commando, whose costume allows him to shoot electricity through his palms; Shou, a ninja (known as "Ginzu" in American and World versions); Jennety ("Mack the Knife"), an alien mummy wielding short knives; and Hoover ("Baby Head"), a super-intelligent baby who rides around in a mech. The Commandos must fight their way through an army of genetically engineered super-criminals, traveling through a bank, a museum, and an aquarium, among other locations. Their quest eventually leads to an intergalactic journey to Callisto, where the evil mastermind "Scumocide" awaits.
Though ported to the Super Famicom and SNES, the game never became popular with arcade goers, contributing to Capcom's abandonment of the Captain Commando character. However, modern players may be surprised at the level of cartoon violence in the game, including characters being chopped in half or burned alive.
