Castlevania Legends is the third Castlevania title released for the original Game Boy. It was released in Japan on November 27, 1997 and in North America on March, 1997. Its original Japanese title is Demon Castle Dracula: Dark Night Prelude (悪魔城ドラキュラ漆黒たる前奏曲 Akumajō Dracula: Shikkoku Taru Zensōkyoku).

Storyline

Castlevania Legends is perhaps best known for originally being the earliest game in the Castlevania series chronologically, until the release of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. It stars Sonia Belmont, once believed to be the original Belmont. In this game, Sonia is hunting down Dracula and runs into the man that would be her lover, Alucard Tepes, who is the son of Dracula. During this game, Sonia have to battle Alucard, so that he can test Sonia before she goes off to face his father.
