Cat-scratch fever
Cat-scratch fever is a disease caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae. It causes lymphadenopathy and fever. As its name indicates, it is often caused by scratches from cats. Diagnosis is by serology (detection of antibodies in blood). It responds moderately to antibiotics.
