Category:Fictional Rebels

Rebels are those who resist the status quo authority. This category is for those who carried out armed resistance, as opposed to those who simply defy authority, as in teenage rebellion. The resistance itself should be classified under Category:Rebellion.

Rebellion is a very common theme in literature, music, television, and film, primarily because of the conflict it entails, and due to the chord it strikes within all of us to oppose the status quo. Conflict, armed or otherwise, is crucial to nearly and story, and the urge to rebel against the rules society has placed upon us is something that lies within nearly all of us.

A rebel who seeks to completely transform society should be in Category:Revolutionaries. See Rebellion.

(In addition, this category is meant to collect fictional rebels; for rebels in history or current events, see Category:Rebels.
