Category:Governors of British North America

This category lists governors of British North America from the Conquest of New France in 1760 to the Union of the Province of Canada in 1840. At union, the office became known as Governor General of the Province of Canada.

Note that Governors General who were British peers are normally referred to by their title, not by their given name. For instance, John Colborne, 1st Baron Seaton is listed as Seaton, not as Colborne.
