Category:Integers

The integers consist of the natural numbers (0, 1, 2, ...) and their negatives (-1, -2, -3, ...; -0 is equal to 0 and therefore not included as a separate integer). The set of all integers is usually denoted in mathematics by Z (or Z in blackboard bold, \mathbb{Z}), which stands for Zahlen (German for "numbers"). They are also known as the whole numbers, although that term is also used to refer only to the positive integers (with or without zero).

Note: The number articles in this category appear numerically sorted. This is done using a system of category sort keys (explained on this page's talk page) which sort as strings in the desired order. When adding specific integers into this category please try to preserve this apparent "numeric" ordering.
